We find that most adults prefer to have private lessons whether they are beginner or advanced riders, setting goals between yourself and your preferred instructor.
(You cannot chose your instructor on the booking system it will only show a number and letter which allocates a space in our riding arena so it does not matter which number you choose.) But please feel free to put your goals and preferred instructor/horse into your lesson booking notes. We cannot always accommodate but we always try our best.
Once you feel comfortable in walk, trot and canter in the sandschool most adults move on to alternating lessons and hacks. If you wish to join a group, hack or buddy up in a lesson with someone, just let your instructor know and we will do our best to sort this for you.
Children can progress from either the lead rein group (most suitable for age 3-6yrs), Half hour private lessons or a mix of the 2 into one of our pony club groups. They range from children that can canter independently and would like to try some small jumps and hacking out to children that can compete in our annual dressage and showjumping events and an occasional spot of cross country jumping (not for the faint hearted ….. parents mostly!) The children can also progress this same way through private lessons. They do not have to be in a pony club group however they will not gain the equine management side of things unless you also book separate stable management sessions.
